AeroEclipse* Breath Actuated Nebulizer and OMBRA* Compressor Systems
A nebulizer is a medical device designed to work with a compressed air source to convert liquid medication into an aerosol so it can be inhaled into the lungs.
The AeroEclipse* BAN nebulizer is the world's only breath-actuated small volume nebulizer. Aerosolized medication is only produced when you inhale through the device. This means between breaths or during breaks in treatment, prescribed medication is contained in the cup until you are ready to inhale it.
The AeroEclipse* BAN has a unique patient friendly green feedback button which moves down on inhalation.

Continuous and breath enhanced nebulizers waste medication (releases into the environment) when you aren’t inhaling which can be two-thirds of each respiratory cycle.
Breath enhanced delivery recognizes the best time to deliver medication is through the inspiratory cycle, and conversely that during exhalation aerosol generation should be reduced.
Only breath actuated delivery produces aerosol when you inhale, so no medication is lost between breaths or during breaks in treatment.
Carefully place prescribed medication into the nebulizer cup and replace the nebulizer top.
Place the mouthpiece in your mouth then breathe in slowly and deeply and exhale normally through the device until the device makes a ‘sputter’ noise.
Wash your nebulizer according to the package instructions.
“I was so excited to use your product, the AeroEclipse* Breath Actuated Nebulizer. I have been asthmatic since birth and this will help reduce my time during nebulizer treatments so that I can get back to the ‘normal’ things in life. It also opened my airway better and is actually easier to use.”
“Hello, I’m a Respiratory Therapist and also a severe persistent asthmatic. During a recent hospitalization at [hospital name removed], they gave me the AeroEclipse* Nebulizer to use for my treatments. I just wanted to say that... I love this new nebulizer!! I’ve been an RT for 30 years and an asthmatic since birth. The AeroEclipse* is by far, the best nebulizer I have ever used (on myself).”
“Since initially going over the AeroEclipse*, I have had patients actually call me in my office after their discharge from the hospital telling me how much better they have done using the AeroEclipse*. I have had physicians tell me that their patients are much better as a result of this product. I had one physician call and ask me if I could come to their office and start a patient on therapy via AeroEclipse*. Seems the patient was not progressing any further no matter what medication they tried with standard nebs. After one treatment using the AeroEclipse* they felt much improved. They continued to use the AeroEclipse* and are doing much better now.”
“Soon after your in-service on the AeroEclipse*, I was assigned to the Emergency Department. Around noon that day, we got one of the worst non-intubated, asthmatics I’ve seen in a long time. She was sitting, hunched over, drooling with non-existent breath sounds and a rapidly dropping respiratory rate. The paramedics had an Albuterol treatment running on one of their nebulizers. As per our protocol, I started three back-to-back Albuterol/Atrovent nebulizer treatments. I grabbed one of the sample AeroEclipse* Nebs and put it on her via an aerosol mask. As this was running, as you might imagine, I was grabbing the intubation box. By the third treatment, she was sitting up, her oxygen saturation was unreadable at the beginning of these treatments, but by now had risen to 90%. At this point, she had sat up, was looking around and her respiratory rate had stabilized. The nurse had begun to start an IV, but when he stuck her, she came alive, grabbed the tubing and told us that she didn’t want that! This patient improved from needing intubation and possibly CPR to a patient who only needed periodic treatments and monitoring and I attribute her improvement to the amazing performance of the AeroEclipse*.”
“Just a short note to thank you for showing me the AeroEclipse* BAN. It has been a great asset. Since I started using the BAN for Pulmonary Function Testing at [hospital name removed], my testing time has been cut from 45 minutes to 25-30 minutes. I have not noticed any change from responsiveness of the medication and subjectively all of the patients I am testing like this nebulizer. Additionally, I have sent patients home with this nebulizer and they are telling me that their treatments are shorter and they are getting more benefit from each treatment. I am definitely on the cutting edge of Respiratory Therapy.”
“I went to the emergency room yesterday for an asthma attack. I was given one of your company's new nebulizers. I have never had a breathing treatment that was so helpful to my breathing. I have had asthma since I was 20 years old. I have 2 children with asthma. I usually spend at least 3 hours in the ER (Emergency Room). Thanks to your product I was only there for 1 hour. I would like to know when and how I will be able to buy your product. The cost of nebulizers and medicines are out of control for my family.”
“My daughter, who is now “thirty something” has complained of asthma symptoms for a number of years and was prescribed prednisone during acute exacerbations documented with low lung function tests. However, until recently she was never “diagnosed” with asthma and treated appropriately. The diagnosis of asthma was finally determined with the assistance of the AeroEclipse* BAN. Medication was delivered with the nebulizer during a lung test. After breathing the medication from the nebulizer for only a few minutes, her lung tests improved by 48% of predicted! That’s amazing and significant! She told the doctor that she had taken nebulizer treatments in the past but had never experienced relief like this before from this type of treatment. She asked the doctor if she could take the nebulizer home with her in case she needed a treatment later….She is now on long-term asthma management and has not had any symptoms or acute illnesses related to her asthma. I believe the AeroEclipse made the difference. The other nebulizers used prior to this visit did not have the same impact or offer the relief she received from the AeroEclipse*. The physician now has a definite diagnosis which to guide her treatment and my daughter has her life back! “
