Dry Powder Inhaler Aerosol Behaviour at Low Inspiratory Flow
Realistic breathing profiles attempting to mimic the treatment asthma exacerbation with a DPI, lacked sufficient “power” to properly break up the powder, a clinical concern for patients with weak inhalation.
Inhaler Technique Errors and Education with Smart Spacer
Data from a Smart Spacer study was analyzed for 29 patients and determined that most patients had peak inhalation flows higher than ideal during the baseline period. Patients in the intervention group received tailored training to correct this error, and many of them corrected this aspect of inhalation technique during the follow up period.

The AeroEclipse* BAN* Nebulizer
With breath actuated delivery, aerosol is only produced when you breathe in. This means medication is not wasted between breaths or if you need to take a break (for example if you need to cough or have a conversation). This puts you in control of your aerosol treatment. Other nebulizers continuously produce aerosol regardless of whether you are inhaling, exhaling or resting, resulting in medication being lost to the air instead of delivered to your lungs.
