OPEP Graph

The Aerobika* Device Significantly Reduced Bronchiectasis Exacerbations14

A single-arm, prospective pilot study was conducted on frequently exacerbating (≥3 acute exacerbations in the past year) bronchiectasis patients (n = 17).

Evaluated the prevention of acute exacerbations, and quality of life during the use of the Aerobika* OPEP device twice daily for 6 months, following 12 months of standard of care without Aerobika* OPEP (the control).

Intervention was on top of current management (included ACBT and/or autogenic drainage).

Of all enrolled patients, only two total acute exacerbations occurred during the study period (p<0.001).
